Benefits of Massage

Massage releases tension, improves circulation, increases joint flexibility, reduces mental and physical fatigue and restores the natural balance and flow of energy throughout the body.  Massage is among the most effective means of therapy to combat stress. It is also a powerful tool in the therapeutic process of pain management and treatment.

Chronic Pain or Injury

Massage can free you from the pain of carpel tunnel syndrome, sciatica, bursitis, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injuries, epicondylitis, compressed discs, joint dysfunction, meniscus tears, and plantar fasciitis, just to name a few.  The therapist works to release muscle, realign the fascia, remove scar tissue and recondition tendons and ligaments.

Client Involvement

Massage is about empowering the client to take control of his or her own physical condition by taking an active role in the treatment process.  The massage therapist educates the client about muscle imbalances and what may cause these imbalances in the client's everyday life. Client awareness and participation is key to recovery.

The Healing Process

Massage done in conjunction with appropriate stretching and strengthening for the particular condition can aid in completely alleviating the source of the problem.  The therapist and client work together to strengthen muscle that is being overstretched and to stretch muscle that is being overworked.  With massage, injured tissue can be completely healed.
